About us

Our Story

Oak Intercultural Psychology has always had a clear vision at heart: to provide evidence-based, culturally responsive mental health services in a compassionate and inclusive environment.

Our practice was founded in Montréal, Québec in 2025 by Ana Luisa Romero Pimentel, PhD, after recognizing the growing need for psychological services that acknowledge the impact of culture, migration, language, identity, and life transitions on mental health and wellbeing. What began as a practice supporting migrants and international communities gradually evolved into an intercultural clinic composed of professionals committed to ethical, evidence-based, and human-centered care.

Who We Are Today

Today, we proudly provide psychotherapy in English, French, and Spanish to individuals, couples, and families navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, trauma, grief, interpersonal difficulties, and adjustment-related challenges.

By bridging psychology and culture, Oak Intercultural Psychology creates a trusted space where individuals and families can strengthen resilience, rediscover belonging, and thrive in Montréal’s diverse landscape.

Strengthening inclusive mental health

Beyond Clinical Care

In addition to clinical services, Oak Intercultural Psychology is deeply committed to education, research, and community collaboration, contributing to conversations surrounding mental health, human diversity, and psychological well-being.

By supporting students, professionals, and community partnerships, we hope to strengthen access to informed and compassionate care for future generations.
